Seeds Bistro and Bar is located in the historic building that housed the Tillinghast Seed Company, the oldest seed business in the Northwest, from 1890-2003. It was the center of farming activities in the county for many generations. The big beautiful Beech tree behind the building was planted in 1890! I have always loved the building and the surrounding farmland. The smell of freshly plowed rich soil, the sweet smell of spinach seed blossoms and the fields after pea harvest are fragrances dear to my memory. Guess that's the reason I decided that I had to open a restaurant here that needed to honor and promote our beautiful Skagit Valley, including the farmers and ranchers.
